Thanksgiving is fun and all, but let’s be real… the real fun is at Friendsgiving, with our chosen family, good food, and great weed. The downside to Friendsgiving? Hosting it. However, don’t let that stop you from stepping up to the plate to host Friendsgiving for your group! Here’s a quick rundown on how to throw a perfect Friendsgiving, and not get in over your head.

THE DECOR

I’m a minimalist, which makes decorating quite easy. White pillar candles, eucalyptus, and pumpkins are all I need to decorate for Friendsgiving. Small pumpkins and eucalyptus are extremely cost-effective when you’re trying to decorate multiple spaces but aren’t looking to spend a pretty penny. The best part of using pumpkins and eucalyptus? It lasts all. month. long.

Using the candles, eucalyptus and pumpkins, create a table runner on the main table. Arrange it and play with it until it looks good; there’s really no right or wrong way to do this. Pop a pumpkin or two and some leaves on the bar and serving tables, see where you have room to fit in some candles and you’re done!

Pro tip: add a small vase of the eucalyptus and candle in the bathroom. It really helps you step up your adulting game.

PLACE SETTINGS

Friendsgiving 002.jpg

My favorite thing about place settings is that it gives you the chance to work in a party favor without having to take up more space. This year, it was a no-brainer to use the KUSH QUEEN Pumpkin Spice CBD bath bombs for the guests to know where they were sitting. I added place cards with the guests’ name to a coffee stirring stick and placed it in the drink hole. I highly recommend doing this for any and every dinner you host!

CREATE A PHOTO OP

All queens love getting done up, and they especially love a good photo op. Find a place where you can hang a banner or something festive, and make a point to snap some shots. It may feel a little forced at first, but everyone will love it! Having photos to hold on to these memories is something you’ll cherish forever. Ultimately, nobody regrets taking a photo with their best babes.

THE FOOD

Keep things simple! Don’t plan to cook everything yourself. You’re already offering your home to all your friends, which they should be grateful for. Ask each of them to bring a dish or dessert to contribute to Friendsgiving. It not only creates a great community vibe, but it also helps keep the cost and pressure of cooking to a minimum.

With guests bringing over food that may need to be heated, I like to plan for an hour or so before the main meal. A simple cheese and meat spread will keep all your guests happy while the big meal starts to come together. It also gives them the chance to say hello, and that one friend who’s always late won’t feel so bad when they arrive and see everyone isn’t seated yet.

Any time I’m hosting, I love to provide CBD infused options. Some items I’ll infuse the food ahead of time, other items I leave the BARE CBD bottle out and allow guests to add it on their own. I find this actually encourages guests to try BARE more; they feel more comfortable knowing they can be in control of their dosing. When it comes to the drink station, I always leave it up to the guests to infuse their own drinks. If you’re hosting to a group of heavy consumers, infuse away!

When it came to dessert, I offered a BARE CBD whip cream on the side of the pumpkin pie. So simple, and so so delicious (especially in your coffee!). Snag the recipe for this sweet side below!

BARE CBD WHIP CREAM

  3. Mix until stiff peaks form
